Hall is sent to jail on drug and gun charges

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to drug and firearm charges.  22 year old JERREL L. HALL appeared before Judge John Agostini.

HALL pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN and one (1) count of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 2 year sentences at the Berkshire County House of Correction.

The charges stem from an investigation into a call reporting shots fired in the area of Columbus and Circular Avenues in Pittsfield on August 19, 2013.

One (1) count of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
