Hall is sentenced to three life sentences
A Peru man who was found guilty on February 7th after trial was sentenced this morning in Hampden Superior Court. The jury deliberated for about 17 hours over a four day period before returning its verdict against 38 year old ADAM LEE HALL a/k/a LEO MAZOLI.
HALL was found guilty on three (3) counts of MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE, three (3) counts of KIDNAPPING and three (3) counts of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON. The jury found that HALL kidnapped and then killed 44 year old David Glasser, 58 year old Edward Frampton and 47 year old Robert Chadwell. The three Pittsfield men were last seen at a Pittsfield apartment shared by Glasser and Frampton on August 28, 2011.
HALL was also found guilty on one (1) count of KIDNAPPING, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY, TO WIT: INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON in connection with a plot to kidnap and intimidate David Glasser on August 14, 2010.
The jury also found HALL guilty of one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and one (1) count of INTIMIDATION OF A WITNESS OR OTHER PERSON. Those charges stem from an incident in Peru involving David Glasser which occurred on July 21, 2009.
Judge C. Jeffrey Kinder ordered that HALL serve consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of MURDER IN THE FIRST DEGREE against David Glasser, Edward Frampton and Robert Chadwell. HALL was given a 12 to 15 year state prison sentence, to be served on and after the life sentence imposed against Robert Chadwell, on one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY against David Glasser. He was also given an 8 to 10 year state prison sentence, to be served on and after the ARMED ROBBERY, on a KIDNAPPING charge against David Glasser and a sentence of 5 to 7 years, to be served on and after the KIDNAPPING sentence, on the charge of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY. HALL was given concurrent state prison sentences on the other charges.
The investigations were conducted by the Berkshire Detective Unit assigned to the District Attorney’s Office and the Pittsfield Police Department. They were assisted by the FBI, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
