Hanger pleads guilty, sent to jail

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to drug charges.  34 year old COREY J. HANGER appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

HANGER pleaded guilty to three (3) counts of DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and three (3) counts of DRUG VIOLATION WITHIN A DRUG FREE SCHOOL ZONE.   Judge Ford ordered that he serve concurrent 1 day sentences at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the drug charges.  HANGER was given concurrent 2 year house of correction sentences, to be served on and after the first sentence, on the SCHOOL ZONE charges.      

The incidents occurred in Pittsfield between November 15, 2011 and May 9, 2012.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Department and state troopers assigned to the District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
