Johnson is arraigned on firearm and drug charges
A New Haven, Connecticut man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on drug and firearm charges. 28 year old RADELL JOHNSON appeared before Judge Mary Lou Rup.
JOHNSON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF PHENCYCLIDINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, three (3) counts of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, three (3) counts of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, three (3) counts of ILLEGAL OWNERSHIP OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, two (2) counts of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and three (3) counts of IMPROPER STORAGE OF A FIREARM. Judge Rup released him on $2,500 bail.
The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at 276 Columbus Avenue, in Pittsfield, on March 27, 2014.
The investigation was conducted members of the Pittsfield Police Department, the Berkshire County Drug Task Force, Massachusetts State Police Violent Fugitive Apprehension Squad and the United States Marshal’s Office.
