Lesley pleads guilty, sent to state prison

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  19 year old STEVEN T. LESLEY appeared before Judge Daniel Ford. 

LESLEY pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO ROB, two (2) counts of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED.  Judge Ford ordered that he serve concurrent 6 to 9 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction.    

LESLEY assaulted and attempted to rob a 26 year old man and 22 year old woman in Pittsfield on September 10, 2012. 

One (1) count of ARMED HOME INVASION was dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.      

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
