Mable pleads guilty, sent to prison

A New York City man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  37 year old JEFFREY D. MABLE appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

MABLE pleaded guilty to one (1) count of ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED, one (1) count of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO ROB, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, RIFLE OR SHOTGUN, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LOADED FIREARM, one (1) count of ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON, one (1) count of RESISTING ARREST, one (1) count of WILLFUL INJURY OF A POLICE DOG, one (1) count of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and one (1) count of LARCENY UNDER $250.  Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 8 to 10 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction on the charges of ARMED ROBBERY WHILE MASKED, ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO ROB, POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY WEAPON, ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A LARGE CAPACITY FEEDING DEVICE, ASSAULT AND BATTERY BY MEANS OF A DANGEROUS WEAPON and BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY.  MABLE was given concurrent jail time on the other charges.   

The incident occurred in Pittsfield on January 25, 2013 and involved a 31 year old woman and a 36 year old man. 

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department.
