Olavarria pleads guilty, sent to state prison
A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges. 41 year old MIGUEL A. OLAVARRIA appeared before Judge John Agostini.
OLAVARRIA pleaded guilty to three (3) counts of BREAKING AND ENTERING IN THE NIGHTTIME WITH INTENT TO COMMIT A FELONY and two (2) counts of LARCENY FROM A BUILDING. Judge Agostini ordered that he serve concurrent 2 and a half to 4 year state prison sentences at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution at Cedar Junction.
The charges stem from breaks at Lucia’s Latin Kitchen and the Berkshire International Market in Pittsfield. The incidents occurred between August 28, 2013 and September 3, 1013.
Two (2) counts of VANDALIZE PROPERTY were dismissed at the request of the Commonwealth.
The investigations were conducted by members if the Pittsfield Police Department.
