Otto pleads guilty to child pornography charges

A Hinsdale man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to child pornography charges.  54 year old KEITH OTTO appeared before Judge Mary Lou Rup. 

OTTO pleaded guilty to one (1) count of DISSEMINATION OF VISUAL MATERIAL OF A CHILD IN A STATE OF NUDITY OR SEXUAL CONDUCT and six (6) counts of KNOWINGLY POSSESSING VISUAL MATERIAL OF A CHILD DEPICTED IN SEXUAL CONDUCT.  Judge Rup placed him on 18 months’ probation on the condition OTTO undergo sex offender and mental health counseling, wear a GPS monitor, register as a sex offender and not posses any computers or internet devices during the probationary period.       

The incidents occurred in Hinsdale between November 9, 2012 and January 24, 2013.      

The investigation was conducted by the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and investigators from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security.
