Silverio arraigned on firearm charges

A Pittsfield man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  24 year old SHAUN A. SILVERIO (24 Faulkner Place) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SILVERIO had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on two (2) counts of ARMED ASSAULT WITH INTENT TO MURDER, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF A FIREARM DURING THE COMMISSION OF A FELONY, one (1) count of ILLEGAL POSSESSION OF A FIREARM, two (2) counts of POSSESSION OF AMMUNITION WITHOUT A FIREARM IDENTIFICATION CARD and one (1) count of DISCHARGING A FIREARM WITHIN 500 FEET OF A DWELLING.  Judge Agostini released him on $1,000 bail on the condition he have no contact with the alleged victims. 

The charges stem from an incident in Pittsfield on December 5, 2013.  It is alleged that SILVERIO fired several shots are two men, ages 35 and 22, on Madison Avenue.     

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield and Lee Police Departments.
