Singleton enters not guilty pleas on drug charges

A Bronx, New York man was arraigned this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court on several charges.  36 year old HAMMAD H. SINGLETON (1890 Walton Street) appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

SINGLETON had not guilty pleas entered on his behalf on one (1) count of TRAFFICKING IN COCAINE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE, one (1) count of POSSESSION OF COCAINE WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS.  Judge Agostini released him on $5,000 cash or $50,000 surety bail. 

The incidents allegedly occurred in North Adams between January 1, 2013 and November 26, 2013.     

The investigation was conducted by members of the North Adams Police Department and state police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s office.
