Stanton is placed on one year probation

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this afternoon in Berkshire Superior Court to a drug charge.  36 year old JARROD R. STANTON appeared before Judge John Agostini. 

STANTON pleaded guilty to one (1) count of POSSESSION OF HEROIN WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE and one (1) count of CONSPIRACY TO VIOLATE DRUG LAWS, TO WIT: DISTRIBUTION OF HEROIN.  Judge Agostini placed him on 1 year probation with the conditions he remain drug and alcohol free and undergo random drug and alcohol testing.     

The charges stem from the execution of a search warrant in New Ashford on October 9, 2012.    

The investigation was conducted by members of the Pittsfield Police Department, deputies from the Berkshire County Sheriff’s Office and state troopers assigned to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office, members of the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
