Starbird gets a suspended sentence, ordered to perform community service

A Pittsfield man pleaded guilty this morning in Berkshire Superior Court to several charges.  28 year old DOUGLAS G. STARBIRD, JR. appeared before Judge Mary Lou Rup. 

STARBIRD pleaded guilty to four (4) counts of RECEIVING PROPERTY OVER $250.  Judge Rup gave him an 18 month suspended sentence on two (2) counts of RECEIVING STOLEN PROPERTY OVER $250.  STARBIRD was also ordered to perform 100 hours of community service work and remain drug free.  He was fined $500 on each of the other two (2) counts.    

STARBIRD was in possession of stolen property on April 9, 2013.       

The investigation was conducted members of the Lanesborough Police Department and state troopers assigned to the Lee barracks.
