The Victim Assistance Program provides Advocates who offer a wide range of services to crime victims, their family members and witnesses as mandated by Massachusetts General Laws, chapter 258B - the Victim Bill of Rights. Advocates are assigned to the District Court, Juvenile Court and Superior Court. Services include crisis intervention, support counseling, court accompaniment, information about the court case, the court process and procedures, as well as information and referrals for financial assistance and/or social services. Advocates also offer assistance with victim compensation and CORI applications.
