CAMIS Training

CAMIS Training Classes are available per request on the second Thursday of each month in Boston at the McCormack State Office Building  1 Ashburton Place, Boston, MA 02108.  The training class can be subject specific or workshop format.  You are always welcome to bring questions to the class. The sessions are:

Service Request

• System Navigation

Buildings and Equipment

• Location Management (Site, Building, Floor, Room)
• Equipment Inventory
• Manage Equipment through Workbench

CAMIS Self Service (FSS)

• Establish and maintain the list of self service users who will be given access to the available functions.
• Control privileges for each user
• Steps to submit and review status of Service Requests.
  

All training and workshops are for new CAMIS users or previously trained users who need a "refresher". We can accommodate 12 students for each session. Training class space availability is based on First Come First Served basis. Please fill out the CAMIS User Training Sign-Up Form and forward it to CAMIS Helpdesk at CamisHelpdesk.DCAM@State.MA.US. You will be notified once the class is scheduled.

Also, CAMIS user training will be provided on an as-needed basis. Users are encouraged to send questions to the CAMIS Helpdesk at CamisHelpdesk.DCAM@State.MA.US. As certain questions become more commonly asked, the website's Frequently Asked Questions page will be updated. CAMIS coordinators are available, as requested, to assist CAMIS users on-site. This assistance will be of a task-oriented nature, covering specific implementation issues, rather than overall system functional training. We encourage current CAMIS users to transfer CAMIS knowledge and responsibilities when personnel assignments change. However, please contact the CAMIS Helpdesk if new passwords or security privileges need to be assigned.
