Energy
and Water Conservation Programs
Through the Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Buildings Group in Office of Facilities
Maintenance, the Division of Capital Asset Management
(DCAM) administers programs to achieve energy efficiency,
water conservation, and resource protection in state facilities
throughout the Commonwealth.
To achieve these conservation goals the Energy Efficiency & Sustainable Buildings Group:
1. Manages Energy and Water Saving Performance Contracting
Projects;
2. Administers State Bond Funded Energy and Water Conservation
Projects;
3. Coordinates Agency participation in Utility Companies'
Conservation Programs;
4. Advises DCAM staff on incorporating Sustainable
Design and Energy Efficiency in Major Renovation and
New Construction Projects; and
5. Provides Technical Assistance to other state agencies
on Energy Efficiency and Pollution Prevention Technology
developments and program opportunities.
