DCAM's Diversity Committee

DCAM has an active Diversity Committee that works to promote all aspects of diversity within our agency, with our client agencies, and with the companies with which we do business.

The Diversity Committee's Mission Statement provides:
"The Diversity Committee is committed to promoting all aspects of diversity in our work environment, including, but not limited to:

      1. workforce composition;
      2. recruitment and hiring practices;
      3. employee retention and advancement;
      4. workplace culture;
      5. contracting and business activities; and
      6. dealings with the public and others.

By embracing and celebrating diversity, we strengthen DCAM's ability to serve the citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts"

DCAM's Diversity Committee was formed in January 2001 to fulfill one of the goals of DCAM's Diversity Plan that was prepared as part of The Governor's Diversity Initiative, and meets on a bi-weekly basis. The Diversity Committee currently has the following four working subcommittees:
Employment Practices, Personnel-Retention, Education, and Budget.
