Sean Doyle Conviction

District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today that Sean Doyle (DOB: 6/21/1978) of Falmouth, MA was found guilty by a Barnstable Superior Court jury of Unarmed Robbery, Assault and Battery, and Conspiracy. The verdict was reached after a 3 day Trial on Friday. The Honorable Judge Gary A. Nickerson sentenced the defendant to 8 to 15 years committed at the State Prison at MCI Cedar Junction.

The charges related to an incident that occurred in Falmouth in the early morning hours of December 20, 2010 when the defendant and the co-defendant robbed and assaulted a Burger King employee who was dropping off a night deposit at a local bank. The co-defendant, Michael Ellis, pleaded guilty at an earlier date and was sentenced to state prison.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Edward F.X. Lynch and investigated by the Falmouth Police Department and the Barnstable County Sheriff's Department.
