     District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today that Benjamin S. Shealey, who was arraigned on July 15, 2013 on a series of motor vehicle violations including operating under the influence in connection with a crash in Chatham, was arraigned today, July 17, 2013 on additional charges.

     The defendant was charged with motor vehicle homicide while under the influence and while operating recklessly as a result of the death Albert V. DellaMalva, age 62 of Orleans.

     He was charged with three counts of operating under the influence while driving recklessly and causing serious bodily injury based on the injuries to Kim Tomlinson, age 40 and her twin daughters, Taylor and Tenley, age 9 of Arlington, VA.

     He was also charged with one count of reckless operation of a motor vehicle.

     A dangerousness hearing will be held on July 22, 2013.
