Carl Marchetti Conviction

Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe today announced that Carl Marchetti, 52 of Centerville was convicted on three (3) counts of Receiving Stolen Property over $250.00 and two (2) counts of Receiving Stolen Property under $250.00.  Marchetti was found Guilty by a Barnstable Superior Court jury after a four day trial.  Judge Gary Nickerson, presided and sentenced Marchetti to 8-10 years committed in MCI Cedar Junction.  He was also placed on 15 years concurrent Probation.  This investigation revealed Marchetti to knowingly be in possession of stolen property from the homes of five different women.  Most items stolen were jewelry which was then melted down for profit.  The matter was investigated by Detectives from the Barnstable Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Jennifer Bright.
