Lorenzo Fain Sentencing

District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today that Lorenzo Fain (dob: 3/5/84) of Nantucket was sentenced  by Superior Court Judge Charles Hely to six to seven years MCI Cedar Junction and fifteen years probation for Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Aggravated Assault and Battery and Assault and Battery.  The Commonwealth recommended a sentence of nine to ten years and the defendant recommended five years incarcerated.   

On January 19, 2013, the defendant took his girlfriend to the home of a friend in Nantucket.  Over the course of several hours he beat her repeatedly causing serious injury.  The victim was med-flighted to Massachusetts Hospital where she was treated for broken bones, contusions and organ damage.  There had been several instances of domestic violence in the past that were unreported.

The case was investigated by the Nantucket Police Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney, Lisa Edmonds.  The defendant was represented by Attorney Thomas Norton, Boston MA.
