Pippin Ross Conviction

              District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today that Pippin Ross (DOB 05/11/56) was found guilty in Barnstable Superior Court of operating under the influence of alcohol and driving with a suspended license for a prior operating under the influence. Superior Court Judge Gary Nickerson who presided over the trial sentenced Ross to four years States Prison on the operating under the influence, which is her seventh conviction. She also received a consecutive one year incarceration for the operating with a suspended license. The court also placed her on lifetime probation and ordered mandatory alcohol screens.   

              The charges related to an incident that occurred in Barnstable in the afternoon of February 28, 2012 when police were dispatched to a one car motor vehicle crash into a parked construction unit.  Observations made by a civilian witness and police officers lead to her arrest for operating under the influence.             

 The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michelle L. Groff and investigated by the Barnstable Police Department.
