Adam Jenkins Conviction
Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced today that a Barnstable County Jury in the Superior Court returned a guilty verdict on Thursday, July 10, 2014 in the case of Adam Jenkins. The trial commenced on July 9th and evidence was completed on July 10th. The jury deliberated for two hours before finding the defendant guilty.
On June 3, 2012, the defendant, Adam Jenkins, was in custody at the Barnstable County Correctional Facility and was awaiting trial on two Armed Robbery Indictments out of the Barnstable Superior Court. Defendant Jenkins was housed in A-Pod when he attacked and struck a Corrections Officer.
Defendant Jenkins was sentenced to two and half to seven years in state prison to be served from and after the completion of his nine to ten year state prison sentence he is currently serving for Armed Robbery.
The case was investigated by the Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s office and assisted by the Barnstable County Sheriff’s Department. The case was prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Nicole Manoog.
