District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today the promotions within his office of two key assistant District Attorney’s

            District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today the promotions within his office of two key assistant District Attorney’s as a result of the elevation of Assistant District Attorney Lisa Edmonds to the bench. Michelle Groff, Chief District Court Prosecutor will be promoted to the Superior Court and will also become head of Domestic Violence Prosecutions for the office.

            Michelle, a University of New Hampshire and Massachusetts School of Law graduate joined the office in 2007. She rose to become the Chief District Court Prosecutor for all of the courts of the Cape & Islands District.

            Michael Donovan, a Harvard and Boston University School of Law graduate will become Chief District Court Prosecutor. Michael also joined the office in 2007 where he has been an important member of our staff.

            “I expect that these lawyers will perform in their new roles with the same excellence they have performed their previous assignments,” said District Attorney O’Keefe.
