Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced today that three individuals charged with interfering with a police investigation were arraigned and $100,000.00 cash bail was set in the Falmouth District Court, by Judge Michael C. Creedon.
Karim Jit Singh (2/6/1980); and Salinder Singh’s (9/15/1953), arraignments were continued from Friday September 5, 2014 so that a Punjabi interpreter could be available. They had been arrested on Friday and held without bail over the weekend. Malkit Thind (5/22/1966), was also arrested on Friday but had posted $100,000.00 cash bail set by a bail commissioner. All three individuals list 323 Main Street, Apartment #1, Falmouth as an address.
The arrests are part of the Falmouth Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office investigation into the death of Jaswinder Singh, (5/29/1968), also of 323 Main Street, Apartment #1, Falmouth.
A conviction of interfering with a police investigation carries with it a potential penalty of ten years in State Prison.
The investigation is ongoing.
