Marstons Mills Skydiving Incident

    Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe and Barnstable Police Chief Paul McDonald announced today the identity of the two individuals that died while skydiving during the late afternoon of September 28th at the Marstons Mills Airport in Barnstable.

    Andrew Munson (DOB 2/19/1985) of Nantucket and his instructor, Eldon Burrier (DOB 11/30/1965) of West Lynnwood, Washington.  

    The two were involved in a tandem jump from a plane operated by Sky Dive Barnstable at the airport located on Race Lane. The victims struck a shed on private property in the Race Lane area adjacent to the airport.  

    The matter remains under investigation by Barnstable Police, Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape and Islands District Attorney’s Office, Massachusetts Aeronautics Association, NTSB and FAA.
