Town Neck Beach Sandwich

            District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today that at approximately 8:00PM, June 4, 2014, a passerby at Town Neck Beach, Sandwich observed something that caused the person to call Sandwich Police. Sandwich Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office responded.

            The scene was processed through the night by crime scene investigators and personnel from the District Attorney’s Office. The mutilated body appeared to have been discarded at the Sandwich site. The scene is being treated as a secondary crime scene with an as yet unknown primary scene.

            Investigators are asking members of the public who may have been in the vicinity of Town Neck Beach from Monday, June 2 through approximately Wednesday, June 4 to report any suspicious vehicles or unusual activity they might have observed in that area.             This matter remains under investigation by Sandwich Police and Massachusetts State Police Detectives assigned to the Cape & Islands District Attorney’s Office.
