Commonwealth vs. Germani conviction

District Attorney Michael O'Keefe announced today that Todd J. Germani (DOB 04/21/1961) was found guilty by a Barnstable Superior Court Jury of Larceny over $250 and Being a Common and Notorious Thief. After the two day trial, Germani was sentenced by the Honorable Robert Rufo to 3-4 years at the Massachusetts Correctional Institution.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred on March 8, 2014 at the Home Depot in Hyannis, where Germani was seen by loss prevention removing the security device and packaging from a high-grade hand drill and drill bit, and then concealing both items underneath his oversized sweatshirt and sweatpants.  He was subsequently stopped and detained until police arrival. The case was investigated by the Barnstable Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Michelle L. Groff
