Steven M. Webster and Eddie Mack, Jr. Press Release

District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced today that a Barnstable County Superior Court jury convicted Steven M. Webster (DOB 12/21/1984) and Eddie Mack, Jr. (DOB 9/8/1985) for the murder of 27 year old Andrew Stanley that occurred in Hyannis in 2012.

On July 11, 2012 Barnstable Police responded to the report of shots being fired at 30 Otis Road in Hyannis. Officers observed and pursued three individuals fleeing the house and one of those individuals, Eddie Mack, Jr., was apprehended a short distance away in the possession of guns and money. Upon entry into the house at 30 Otis Road, Stanley was found bound, beaten and shot in the back. After an exhaustive investigation law enforcement officers and crime lab personnel developed evidence that linked Steven M. Webster to the murder. Two other men are facing charges in connection with this incident.

Webster and Mack were sentenced to life without parole at MCI Cedar Junction by the Honorable Gary M. Nickerson. They were also sentenced to concurrent life sentences for Home Invasion, and Armed Assault in a Dwelling.

District Attorney O’Keefe said, “This was a murder committed with extreme atrocity and cruelty and the jury rendered the appropriate verdict. There is no greater service that a citizen can give than to serve as a juror on a case such as this. It is hard work, and I thank them. I want to also commend First Assistant Michael Trudeau and Assistant District Attorney Nicole Manoog for outstanding work in the trial of this case. I also commend the investigative team of Barnstable and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s office who solved this case.
