The Friends of GLBT Youth, Inc. ("The Friends") is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to eradicating homophobia and transphobia in order to allow all young gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people the opportunity to reach their full potential. It is not affiliated with the Commission on GLBT Youth, but has supported the Commission's work in various ways over the years.

In the past years, the Massachusetts Commission on LGBT Youth has regularly hosted interns and fellows to engage in projects relevant to its mission. As an example, the Commission welcomed an Eli J. Segal Citizen Leadership Fellow from Brandeis University to work on several policy issues.
