Massachusetts law requires every full-time and part-time student enrolled in an institution of higher learning in Massachusetts to participate in a qualifying student health insurance program or in a health benefit plan with comparable coverage

The Division of Health Care Finance and Policy determines rates of payment for hospitals and health care providers. The rates are determined by a regulatory process that promulgates in fee schedules and other formats ensuring a public process through which rate setting is established.
