The Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) to solicit information from a broad spectrum of interested parties on a proposed revision and update to the content and structure of the state’s consumer cost and quality website, MyHealthCareOptions (www.mass.gov/myhealthcareoptions).
As part of payment reform, CHIA is responsible for creating a consumer health information website designed to share a variety of cost and quality data and to assist consumers in making informed decisions regarding medical care and informed choices among health care providers (MGL Ch.12C §20).
The website provides an opportunity to examine the intersection of cost and quality and provide meaningful transparency to consumers. Data that is relevant and timely, coupled with a more user-friendly website can equip residents with the necessary tools to make more informed decisions.
The questions for response cover the following areas:
- Gap analysis;
- Best practices and lessons learned;
- Consumer decision-making;
- Communication channels; and
- Information display.
Please respond to as many RFI questions you feel are appropriate.
We encourage you to respond and thank you in advance for your participation.
