Participant Instructions
JSI Research and Training Institute, Inc. invites you to join us for an online training on Administrative Set-up in NHSN. The training will be held on Tuesday March 25, 2008 from 10 to 11am.
Topics reviewed in this training will include an overview of the HAI reporting requirements for Massachusetts, administrative set-up in NHSN (i.e. adding users, assigning rights to users, adding locations and submitting a monthly reporting plan), how to join two groups (MDPH and the Betsy Lehman Center) and how to confer rights to the two groups. If you are interested in participating in this online training, please follow the instructions found below.
Who should participate?
Infection Control Professionals and Facility Administrator (for NHSN) should plan to participate.
If I'm already enrolled in NHSN do I need to participate?
We will be providing Massachusetts-specific information that is not available in CD's start-up training materials (i.e. how to join groups for data sharing with the state). If your schedule does not allow you to attend, slides from the training and a recording will be made available on the MDPH Healthcare Quality webpage www.mass.gov/dph/dhcq.
How do I participate?
Please let us know if you able to participate in the online training by sending an email to haihelp@jsi.com with your name, organization, phone number and preferred email address. Please RSVP no later than Friday March 21, 2008.
When you RSVP you will receive further instruction on accessing the training. These instructions will be sent to you via email no later than Monday March 24, 2008. Included in these instructions will be:
- Date and time of the meeting
- Meeting Number
- Meeting Password
- The link you need to click to join the meeting
What are the technical requirements for connecting to the training?
Make sure you have access to a phone and computer with internet capabilities. You will need to use Internet Explorer as your browser to access the live online training.
*Please note: If more than one individual at your facility will be viewing the training, please try to conserve resources by participating together (i.e. using the same computer and phone line). If you decide to do this, please indicate so when you RSVP.
