Connor B. v. Patrick  is a federal class action lawsuit filed in 2010 on behalf of children in foster care in Massachusetts.  The lawsuit seeks widespread reform of the Department of Children and Families’ foster care system.  The plaintiffs raise claims concerning the training and workload of social workers, the recruitment and training of foster families, and the safety, care, and well-being of foster children and youth.  As of February 2012, the lawsuit is in the discovery phase of litigation.
