Dear Secretary Gonzales, Chairmen Panagiotakos and Murphy:
In accordance with the requirement in Sections 1A and 1B of Chapter 182 of the Acts of 2008 (the FY2009 General Appropriation Act), as well as Sections 1A and 1B of Chapter 27 of the Acts of 2009 (the FY2010 General Appropriation Act), I am submitting the comparison of Actual Revenue Collections to Budget for final balances for FY2009 and for the first two quarters of the FY 2010.
These reports detail actual revenue collection based on amounts accounted for in the official books and records of the Commonwealth-MMARS, as of June 30, 2009 for FY 2009; as of September 30, 2010 for FY 2010 and as of December 31, 2010 for FY 2010. Certain revenues are collected on a seasonal basis. There may be other fluctuations as well. Thus, a gross mathematical extrapolation of twelve month’s of revenue activity may be misleading.
We intend to file a 9th month report on or before April 30, 2010.
