is the Mission of the Court Capital & Facilities Management department?
Court Capital & Facilities Management
To represent the Massachusetts judicial system
as the user agency in all projects involving the construction and
major renovation of courthouses.
To plan and administer those construction and renovation projects
approved by the Chief Justice for Administration and Management
that fall within the statutory threshold for management by the court
system as the user agency.
To provide access to justice, through the capital improvement of life safety, security and structural integrity of court facilities that are owned by the Commonwealth or the political subdivisions of the Commonwealth.
To provide maintenance and upkeep of 63 state-owned courthouses located in ten counties.
To administer effective property management ensuring the delivery of quality services neccessary for the efficient and reliable operation of those facilities.
