How do I order a Transcript?

To order a Regular Transcript:
1. Complete the Transcript Order Form and attach the Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Order Form. Make sure to check off Regular Transcript under Part I of the Order Form.
2. For a Juvenile Court transcript, submit the Transcript Order Form with the attached Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Clerk’s Office. For all other court transcripts, submit the Transcript Order Form with the attached Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Office of Transcription Services.

To order a Daily/Expedited Transcript:
1. Complete the Transcript Order Form and attach the Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Order Form. Make sure to check off Daily Transcript under Part I of the Order Form.
2. For a Juvenile Court transcript, submit the Transcript Order Form with the attached Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Clerk’s Office. For all other court transcripts, submit the Transcript Order Form with the attached Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Office of Transcription Services.

To order an Indigent Transcript:
1. Complete the Transcript Order Form and attach the Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Order Form. Make sure to check off Indigent Transcript and provide the NAC (Notice of Assignment of Counsel) Number under Part I of the Order Form.
2. For a Juvenile Court transcript, submit the Transcript Order Form with the attached Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Clerk’s Office. For all other court transcripts, submit the Transcript Order Form with the attached Court Allowed Motion, Court Order, Notice of Appeal, or Request to Prepare the Transcript to the Office of Transcription Services.

 

 

 

 


What is the cost of a transcript?


Regular Transcript is $3.00 per page for the original and $1.00 per page for copies. Daily Transcript is $4.50 per page for the original and $1.50 per page for copies. Indigent Transcript is $3.00 per page for the original, $0.75 per page for the first copy, and $0.10 per page for additional copies. NAC (Notice of Assignment of Counsel) NUMBER MUST BE PROVIDED for Indigent Transcript.

How are payments for the transcript arranged?

The Transcriber will contact the Ordering Party with the estimate cost of the transcript and arrange for 50% of the payment to be submitted prior to the creation of transcript. Once the transcript is completed, the Transcriber will contact the Ordering Party with the total cost of the transcript and will arrange for the remainder of the payment prior to mailing out the transcript.

 

 

 


I have already ordered a transcript. When will I receive my transcript and how will I receive my transcript?

To check on the status of your transcript please check the Transcript Calendarpdf . Your transcript will be mailed to you by the Office of Transcript Services as soon as it becomes available.

 

 




How do I order a Compact Disk of a Superior Court proceeding?

To order a Compact Disk of a court proceeding, fill out the Draft Compact Disk Order Form and submit it to the Court Recorder. OTS will contact you as soon as the CD copy is ready for pick-up/delivery.

 

 

 





What is the cost of a Compact Disk?

A JAVS Digital Recording copy is $50.50 per CD.

 

 


I have already ordered a compact disk. When will I receive my compact disk and how do I arrange for its pick-up/delivery?

OTS will contact you as soon as your compact disk copy has been made and deliver the CD(s) to the Superior Court Clerk’s Office. Payment for and pick-up/delivery of the CD(s) must be arranged with the Superior Court Clerk’s Office.

 

 

 


Does the Audio Assessment Form Count as a full page of transcript?

No, the Audio Assessment Form does not count as a full page of the transcript.

 

 

 

 


Does the Audio Assessment Form have to be attached to the paper transcript?

Yes, the Audio Assessment Form must be attached between the next to last page of each volume of the paper transcript and the Certification Page.

Yes, the Audio Assessment Form must be attached to the PDF transcript.

Whom do I mail the invoice to upon completion of a Transcript ordered by OTS?

For Transcripts paid by the Trial Court (AOTC), mail you invoice and completed Transcript to Lisa Sealey, Office of Transcription Services, Two Center Plaza, 9th Floor, Boston, Massachusetts, 02108.

 

For Transcripts paid by the Committee for Public Counsel Services (CPCS), mail your invoice to the Committee for Public Counsel Services, 44 Bromfield Street, Boston, Massachusetts, 02108, and completed transcript to Lisa Sealey, Office of Transcription Services, Two Center Plaza, 9th Floor, Boston, Massachusetts, 02108.

 

For Transcripts paid by the Asst. Atty. Gen., Asst. Dist. Atty., or private attorney, mail your invoice to the respective attorney. Once you are paid, mail the completed Transcript to the respective attorney.
