Time Standards for Court Reporters

Time Standards for Court Reporters   The Supreme Judicial Court Committee on Time Standards for Court Reporters will soon make recommendations to the Justices on time standards for transcript production. The Time Standards will take effect on 09/03/07.   All transcripts ordered after 07/01/06 must comply with the current Superior Court guidelines:   In civil cases a complete transcript shall be prepared within one (1) year from the date the court reporter receives the deposit required by the court reporter.   In criminal cases a complete transcript shall be prepared within six (6) months of the issuance of the Notice to prepare transcripts.     Return to the Main Page of the Office of Transcription Services
