[1] ABA Model Rule 2.2 sets forth circumstances in which a lawyer may act as an intermediary between clients. The court concluded that a lawyer representing more than one client should be governed by the conflict of interest principles stated in Rule 1.7 . Specific Massachusetts Comments 12 through 12F to Rule 1.7 provide guidance concerning the joint representation of clients.
