[1] ABA Model Rule 2.2 sets forth circumstances in which a lawyer may act as an intermediary between clients. The court concluded that a lawyer representing more than one client should be governed by the conflict of interest principles stated in Rule 1.7. Specific Massachusetts Comments 12 through 12F to Rule 1.7 provide guidance concerning the joint representation of clients.
