          Pursuant to G.L. c. 211B, § 6, the Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court appoint the Chief Justice for Administration and Management of the Trial Court for a term of five years, which term is renewable. Chief Justice for Administration and Management Robert A. Mulligan has informed the Justices that he wishes to be considered for reappointment when his current term expires on September 30, 2008. In reaching a determination with respect to his reappointment, the Justices will review the record of efforts undertaken during Chief Justice Mulligan’s first term, discuss with him his views and the views of the Justices concerning future priorities for the Trial Court, and take into account the perspectives from both within and outside the court system.
