The Office of Court Management, Transcription Services provides official transcripts of electronically recorded proceedings from the Superior, Suffolk Juvenile, and Boston Housing courts. All proceedings from these courts are recorded either by a monitor or court personnel utilizing an electronic recorder.

Duplicate Recordings

Requestors seeking a duplicate audio recording of a Superior Court proceeding must file a motion with the court for the duplicate audio recording. If the court allows the motion, the clerk who has the care, custody, and control of original recordings will provide the duplicate audio recording to the requestor (see Massachusetts Superior Court Standing Order 2-87: Electronic Recordation of Proceedings pdf format of standing-order2-87-e-recordation.pdf

The cost of the duplicate audio recording is $50.50 (see Uniform Schedule of Fees pdf format of uniform-schedule-of-fees.pdf
). The Office of Transcription Services does not provide duplicate audio recordings nor collects fees for duplicate audio recordings; that is the duty of the respective clerk.
