Note: To travel to Martha's Vineyard, you may take a ferry from either Woods Hole or Hyannis on Cape Cod. Airline flights are also available from Boston, Hyannis and New Bedford.

Driving Directions to Woods Hole:
From Boston, North Shore and South Shore:
Take I-93 (Southeast Expressway) South to Route 3 South to Route 6 rotary in Sagamore. DO NOT GO OVER THE SAGAMORE BRIDGE. Instead, take Route 6 South to Bourne to the Bourne Bridge. Travel over the Bourne Bridge to the Route 298 rotary. Go half way around the rotary and take Route 28 towards Falmouth. Travel into Falmouth on Route 28. After you pass Falmouth Hospital (on your right), Route 28 becomes Palmer Avenue. Continue on Palmer Avenue to Locust Street following signs to Woods Hole. Locust Street becomes Woods Hole Road and continues for approximately 3 miles to the Steamship Authority dock in Woods Hole.

From West and Central:  Take Mass Pike (I-90) to Exit 11A (I-495). Take Route 495 South to Route 25 South to the Bourne Bridge. Travel over the Bourne Bridge to the Route 28 rotary. Go half way around the rotary and take Route 28 towards Falmouth.  Travel into Falmouth on Route 28. After you pass Falmouth Hospital (on your right), Route 28 becomes Palmer Avenue.
