PROBATE AND FAMILY COURT
ANNOUNCES AMENDED PRACTICE
ON MEDICAL CERTIFICATE
The
Probate and Family Court has amended Uniform Practice
XXII. Medical Certificate (Guardian-Conservator). The
change to the Practice was necessary in order to conform
with the new Medical Certificate that was issued by the
Probate and Family Court Administrative Office on April
15, 2008. Those professionals who are qualified under
the Practice will be providing information necessary
for the court to assess the functionality of the proposed
ward and the need for a limited or full (plenary) guardianship.
The Practice will be effective on April 21, 2008.
