PROBATE AND FAMILY COURT ANNOUNCES
PILOT PROJECT

SUFFOLK DIVISION POLICY CONCERNING
THE HANDLING OF CERTAIN GUARDIANSHIP CASES

Due to shortages of staff at the Suffolk Division of the Probate and Family Court, a new policy for processing, scheduling and hearing certain guardianship cases for guardianship of adults is being implemented forthwith.  Such matters shall always be scheduled for hearing on Tuesdays with the exception of some cases assigned to the Judge whose motion day is Tuesday.

Administrative Reviews of Treatment Plans in Rogers Cases are suspended until further notice. However, certain Rogers cases may be submitted on documents, in person, on the scheduled Tuesday to be handled administratively without a hearing.

For further details and a copy of the entire policy, please go to our website at: http://www.mass.gov/courts/courtsandjudges/courts/probateandfamilycourt/index.html
