PROBATE AND FAMILY COURT SEEKS CLINICAL GAL's

          

          The Probate and Family Court Department is seeking applicants to be on lists, required by Supreme Judicial Court Rule 1:07, for appointment as guardians ad litem/evaluator in domestic relations and state intervention cases involving child custody, visitation and adoption. An applicant must be licensed to practice medicine or psychology, or must be a licensed independent clinical social worker. Applicants must also have at least three years experience since receiving their license performing clinical evaluations and/or providing therapy with family members involved in or subject to court proceedings which includes matters relating to custody of and/or visitation with minor children in paternity, guardianship of a minor, state intervention, divorce and post divorce cases.

          Applications will be available in the Registries of Probate and Probation Offices in ALL divisions beginning on December 4, 2000, for the following category which is known as Category E:

 

Care and Custody of Children - G.L. c. 215, § 56A; Uniform Practices Xa

 

APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED NO LATER THAN 5:00 P.M. ON DECEMBER 28, 2000
