Middlesex Probate & Family Probation Department Hosts Domestic Violence Awareness Exhibit At Cambridge Courthouse

Middlesex County Probate & Family Court Probation is hosting the “Silent Witness” exhibit October 19th-23rd at the Cambridge courthouse located at 208 Cambridge Street. The courthouse is open Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. 

This traveling exhibit, provided by REACH Beyond Domestic Violence, features 13 free-standing, life-size, red silhouettes which each represent female and male victims of domestic violence who were murdered in Massachusetts over the past year. 

There are 13: 11 women and two men to date. Each silhouette, displays the name and story of each person. The exhibit will be displayed in the first floor lobby of the courthouse. This exhibit is funded by the Judicial Institute, Violence Against Women (VAWA) grant. 

“Domestic violence is an issue that affects many families. This exhibit helps educate the public on the devastating effects of domestic violence,” said Middlesex Probate & Family Court Chief Probation Officer G. Scott Angelo.
