Supreme Judicial Court Appoints Attorney to Board of Bar Examiners

The Justices of the Supreme Judicial Court announced the appointment of Attorney Robert L. Harris to the Board of Bar Examiners for a five-year term.  Mr. Harris fills the position previously held by Attorney Martin W. Healy, whose term expired.

Mr. Harris is a partner in the Boston firm of Brown Rudnick LLP where he has worked for 13 years. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation, corporate restructuring and insolvency matters.  He has also represented media clients in First Amendment and access-related matters in various civil and criminal proceedings, and has held several administrative positions at the firm.  A Quincy resident, Attorney Harris graduated from Swarthmore College and Boston University School of Law.

The Board of Bar Examiners, consisting of five members appointed by the Supreme Judicial Court, is responsible for the examination and review of qualifications of all persons seeking admission to the Massachusetts Bar.
