TRIAL COURT EMPLOYEES HONORED IN AWARDS CEREMONY AT JOHN ADAMS COURTHOUSE

Eastern Hampshire District Court Acting Office Manager Robin Balicki
Named Employee of the Year

In recognition of commitment to improving the delivery of justice, Chief Justice for Administration & Management Robert A. Mulligan today honored Trial Court Employee of the Year Robin Balicki of Ware, along with 18 other individuals who received 2008 Employee Excellence Awards in a ceremony at the John Adams Courthouse.

This year the awards recognize Trial Court employees who embrace continuous improvement as they strive for excellence in judicial administration. Candidates for the awards are nominated by their supervisors, colleagues and court users.

Ms. Balicki, who is the Acting Office Manager for the Eastern Hampshire District Court, is known not only for her knowledge and expertise but also for her concern for all who staff and visit the court. She recently played a pivotal role in the court’s move from Hadley to Belchertown assuring no interruption in court services.

Chief Justice Mulligan said, “The high standards set by these individuals inspire their coworkers and benefit the public. They seek excellence in their daily endeavors and their dedication assures the success of our efforts to continuously improve the delivery of justice.”

Employee commitment to continuous improvement provides the foundation for the comprehensive management reform underway throughout the Trial Court. The court is focused on increased efficiency, accountability and transparency, as it serves thousands of citizens daily.

An interdepartmental committee, which has honored employees for outstanding performance and commitment to public service since 1987, selected the winners from more than 200 nominations. The Massachusetts Trial Court includes approximately 7,000 employees in more than 100 locations and offices statewide.
