Spina will present the annual John Adams Pro Bono Publico Awards to four recipients in recognition of distinguished service and outstanding commitment in providing legal services for poor and disadvantaged citizens in Massachusetts. This is the fifth annual presentation of the prestigious awards, which are named in honor of Attorneys John Adams and John Quincy Adams. This year the Supreme Judicial Court’s Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services has selected the following recipients to receive the awards:     Marion E. Broidrick, Esq. and Lawrence A Zalis, Esq.       for their work on behalf of the Barnstable Action for New Direction (BAND) program     Heisler, Feldman, McCormick & Garrow, P.C.       for their work on the Hampden County Pro Bono Housing Project     Samuel B. Moskowitz, Esq., Partner, Davis, Malm & D'Agostine, P.C.       for his work with the Attorney for the Day project in Boston Housing Court and with the Pro Bono Committee of the Boston Bar Association   The Supreme Judicial Court's Standing Committee on Pro Bono Legal Services works to promote volunteer legal work in Massachusetts to help people of limited means in need of legal representation, in accordance with SJC Rule 6.1.   When: Tuesday, June 6, 2006 5:00 p.m.   Where: John Adams Courthouse One Pemberton Square, Boston
