JOHN ADAMS COURTHOUSE
RECEIVES 2006 PRESERVATION AWARD
FROM NEW ENGLAND CHAPTER OF THE VICTORIAN SOCIETY IN AMERICA
The
beautifully restored 19th century John Adams Courthouse
was honored with a 2006 Preservation Award by the New
England Chapter of the Victorian Society in America at
its annual Awards Ceremony on Tuesday evening, June 20,
2006 in the John Adams Courthouse. Accepting the award
are (pictured) Supreme Judicial Court Chief Justice Margaret
H. Marshall and Supreme Judicial Court Justice Robert
J. Cordy (on right) with Jack Grinold, Second Vice President
of the New England Chapter of the Victorian Society in
America.
This
is the third Preservation Award this year presented to
the John Adams Courthouse. The other awards were given
in May by Preservation Massachusetts and the Boston Preservation
Alliance.
