Eighteen
Boston area high school students, who have successfully
completed fourteen weeks of court education in the Supreme
Judicial Court’s Judicial Youth Corps, will be presented
with Certificates of Achievement by Supreme Judicial
Court Justice Roderick L. Ireland in an Appreciation
Day event.
The Judicial Youth
Corps teaches young people about criminal and civil
law and the inner workings of the Massachusetts court
system. Working closely with judges, clerks, probation
officers and other court personnel, the students gain
valuable job experience while learning about the role
of the judicial branch. They participate in educational
sessions, field trips and mock trials throughout the
spring and summer program.
